" (ABOVE) Though Chet Fillip is from Ozona, TX, I remember him making the "tow up" to Colorado a couple of times. The first time I saw him race, was at Englewood Speedway about 1976, when the track hosted The Olympia Beer challenge for the Supermodifieds. Chet brought (possibly) the only rear engine supermodified of the time & was the main topic of conversation among the fans in the stands. Here, he is hot lapping his well known rear engine (Ford powered?) Supermodified at Colorado Springs International Speedway about 1982ish prior to an open comp, end of year race. " ---- Rick Wasilko
