Richard H. Jerrett, 71, of Mexico, died Sunday at his home. He was born in Mexico, son of the late Richard R. and Nola Halsey Jerrett. He was a pipe fitter for Local #73 of Oswego. He owned and operated Jerrett's Auto Parts in Mexico. He was a race car driver at the Oswego Speedway. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, an avid gardner and he was a gunsmith. He was an Air Force veteran, serving from 1957 to 1959.

Sorry to hear of Dick Jerrett Jr's passing. I sure do remember him racing in the early days of the Supers. I remember the #67 he acquired from Dick Good. In it's day, it was one of the prettiest Supers of it's time. Gold in color, and just a great looking Super. It was the car that Ralph Denson destroyed a couple of times, later in it's life.
