Remembered in his community of Brussels and all of Huron County for his leadership as a councillor, reeve and warden. He was a lifetime member of the Brussels Lions Club, a founding member of the Brussels Flying Club, member of the Brussels Odd Fellows Lodge and an active member of the St. John’s Anglican Church & the St. John’s Cemetery (formerly called the McCutcheon Cemetery).
Jack was a prominent Brussels business owner of McCutcheon Motors for over 50 years. He will be fondly remembered for his stock car racing career from 1957-1967 as "Jack The Ripper" #73 by his many fans. His family was his proudest achievement and his memory and legacy will live on through them for generations to come.
Jack’s racing career ended after the 1967 season when many of the tracks switched from Supermodifieds to the Late Model division. Jack was one of the all time great supermodified racers from the past and battled against some of the best; Jimmy Howard, Howie Scannell, Glen Schurr, Warren Coniam, Harvey Lennox and Jack Greedy just to name a few.
