Phil Wendt

Phil Wendt drove many types of race cars during his career. He competed in supermodifieds during the early to mid '60s at places such as Five Flags and Mobile International Speedway against notable drivers like Bobby Allison, Dale Hammac and Armond Holley.
From 1968 thru 1972 he ventured into NASCAR in the Grand National and Late Model Sportsman divisions. In 1973 he returned to supermodifieds, spending some time behind the wheel of Bill Hite's unique creations.
1974 saw Wendt return to his roots in Alabama where he found much success for the remainder of his career running late models

Phil also raced Modifieds, not sure what year

On May 27 1973, Wendt got a 5th place finish with this Bill Hite car at Oswego.
Bill Roynon was in the car for that year's classic

1974, Piloting the #60 on the dirt in Biloxi Miss.
