August 15th twin 30's

Danny did a good job in the first feature, grabbing 10th. The second feature was a real barn burner among several competitors battling for 5th thru 10th and Dan was right in the middle of it. Early on, he was so close to the top 5 he could smell it... at one point, he was shuffled back to 9th in the blink of an eye. Then he battled back, eventually moving into 7th on the white flag lap. Dan said the car was the best it's been all season and and felt he had something for the front runners if the race had just been a few laps longer! A 10th and a 7th... not bad results overall and something to build on in coming weeks.
As you can see, there are fewer images than usual this time around as I was pressed into service helping the team rather than snapping pictures. Both supers were on hand and Barry had a little fun with the #6 car in the heat and first feature, getting a few laps in before retiring to the pits to resume his crew chief duties. Tim Snyder's machine suffered oil pressure problems and took a seat in the #6 for the second feature and although he was caught up in a first lap jingle on the first lap, he did get some valuable points as he tries to keep Greg Furlong in sight in the points chase.
