Must have Teamspeak 3 to participate in the nights events. No Mic means no racing! Also no muting and being in another ts server while we are racing and or doing a drivers meeting. When we call you to teamspeak you need to be there Also no typing for another racer in chat box. Teamspeak 3 IP ch1.lowpingserver.com:9999 . YOU MUST BE IN TS NO LATER THAN 8:45 ON RACE NIGHT
Flaming on Teamspeak or forums/social media will not be tolerated. You will receive a warning for first offense, admins discretion for following offense.
As a common courtesy to your fellow racers, XSTSR asks that on race night you keep profanity to a minimum.
We want to promote friendship, camaraderie, and clean racing in XSTSR. Therefore, race and treat others as you want to be treated, Remember we are here to have fun!!!
All Admin rulings are final. We will make a united decision between the admins. If you have a problem please explain yourself, the issue at hand, and request a meeting with admins during the week. We prefer you let emotions settle from race night and therefore please wait 24 hours from the incident at hand and we will talk the next night.
Race Night Rules
Two solo simple spins in a race and you must park for the remainder of that particular race. If you spin twice in the heat, you still can race the feature. You spin twice in the feature; you are out for the night. If a driver feels they are not at fault with anything involving 2 or more car contact they can stay where the game puts them after the caution However, all replays will be reviewed. If the driver who stayed in their spot is at fault, that driver will be penalized and disqualified at that spot. We reserve the right to adjust penalties based on severity of infraction.
Starts & Restarts - Go when the game says green, slow down when it says caution, don't pass before the start finish. On initial start stay in your line until you pass s/f. If you take it three wide into turn 1 it will be deemed an over aggressive move and could result in penalties. On restarts line up where the game tells you unless you claim the caution. It's up to you to know how to find your correct spot. Know how rfactor works. YOU Must stay in line. If by chance you do pass before s/f you must give back position before turn 3 to avoid penalty. If the admins deem it a racing move you will be docked accordingly. No setting up a pass before the start-finish line.
Cautions
- A. Single car spins - car goes to tail, if car does not go to tail, post race penalty will be given.
- B. Multi car spins - All cars line up where the game tells them after the spin. NO SPOTS GIVEN BACK.
Admins will ask for ONE driver to claim fault. That person will go to the tail. If no one claims fault racing will resume and post race review will determine any penalties. If the cause was a racing deal among 2 or more cars no one will go to the tail.
Penalties for not claiming caution - Will be finish position moved to last place and loss of up to 5 championship points.
Caution credits will be 1 caution credits for 2 car contact, half points for simple spins
.
Two cars make contact.. driver A takes blame and goes tail. If driver B stays in spot and is determined to be at fault, Scoring is stopped with potential penalties to follow. If driver A gets loose in front and Driver B spins behind.. we term it a racing deal/ bad luck for driver B. Driver B sent tail.
Admins will discuss and make a decision on: Under cautions. If you spin yourself out under a caution you do not get your spots back. If someone else spins you out, you can get your spot back.
When the caution comes out do not continue to accelerate through or around other cars that are slowing down. There is zero reason for a car to go half a straight away and then run into a car that has slowed for a caution. Also, if there are cars stacked up in front of you because of an incident and the caution, nowhere is it okay to make contact with the car in front of you and accelerate through them spinning them out.
There will be ONE restart if the last car starting did not cross start finish line to complete lap one. Once the last car crosses the line to complete lap one, it is an official race. If the race is past halfway and a server failure or issue arises, it is an official race.
There is to be no laying back on initial starts or restarts. If you are more than 2 car lengths back, you are laying back. If you are observed doing this multiple times you will get a post-race penalty. I know this is in the rules and has been discussed. If we need to start taking a half hour to go over every rule every race then I guess that is what we must do.
Any penalty given by the game that an admin determines was not warranted may be reversed at anytime during the race or post race.
Team Speak - Don't talk under racing conditions (this includes cautions) unless asked by an admin. Penalty for continuing to talk when asked to stop will be a loss of 2 positions post race. Drivers in their respective heats will be moved to a separate channel. Main race lobby can talk while others race.
The Admin team reserves the right to adjust the finish order based on penalties and server issues.
No one will contact an admin over the events of an incident that did not directly involve that person. Only those involved in an incident can question the admins in regards to why a decision or no decision was made. Definition: Directly involved - Meaning, you were part of the contact (wreck), that resulted in a loss of position and/or damage to your car. All questions regarding the previous race will be submitted to an admin within 48 hours of the conclusion of a race. Once the 48 hours has passed, the admins will discuss the previous race and make rulings (if necessary) within the next 48 hours. Racers will then have 24 hours to ask questions about any rulings and receive a response within the next 24 hours from the admin team. (Total of 6 days max on rulings after a race). Shane Gott will be the admin contact for all infractions unless involved, then Art Palmer will handle.
If a penalty arises and you get blacked flagged, please mention it under the next caution. Please mention it one time and one time only. DO NOT Discuss penalties under racing conditions. We have 100 laps to clear penalty.
Any admin call during race must be adhered to. Drivers not directly involved in wreck must not provide input with decision unless admin asks.
We try to be consistent in all aspects of our rulings. We also take into account past incidents (precedents) and how we ruled on those incidents to maintain uniformity across the board.
If you wreck another driver or cause significant damage to another car under caution/coming to caution you will be parked for the remainder of the night. When the caution comes out slow down and do not blow through the wrecks. Fields are frozen guys.
Restart antics will NOT be tolerated. If you decide to go 45 mph after the pace car pulls in then that is the speed you “own”. Hold it and do not deviate from it. Do not decide entering the last turns to slow down to the correct pace speed.
On shorter tracks (such as Hickory), if you are not starting your move to make a pass on the exit of turns 1 or turns 3, then you are probably already too late to make a move entering the next corner, unless the car in front of you bobbles in some way. The car in front is already making their “normal” arc into the corner just past the middle of the straight. If you do not have a fender under them by then and make an aggressive move inside, they have little time to change their angle into the corner (of course this is not always the case). It is hard to put full blame on a driver who is already beginning his corner entry for the contact that will happen.
There will be NO complaining about other drivers on any XSTSR social media sites. It would be nice if it was never posted anywhere on social media.
There is to be NO retaliation during a race. As admins we are not perfect and miss things or make the wrong calls. Give us the chance to make the calls, even if it’s post-race. Trying to wreck someone on purpose doesn’t impress anyone.
90% of penalties are handed out post-race. Admins would like to enjoy racing too. Drivers must police themselves under most race conditions. Sometimes it’s better to take blame rather than be stubborn only to get a penalty post-race that cost you more than if you would have owned up to an incident during the race.
Remember this is not real life racing, so don’t say this is how is or isn’t how it’s done in real life. We all do our best to be fair and sometimes we will upset people doing it.
For non-time trial races:
1. All heat races will be handicapped based on money won (using $25,000 purse) from the 3 previous XSTSR races run. Any car that was absent from any of the previous 3 XSTSR races run will be awarded first place monies for each missed event. If you go to a race and you don't take any hot laps, you will not start in your handicapped position in the heat. You will start at the rear of the heat.
2. The top 12 from the heats shall be inverted in the feature based on money won (using $25,000 purse) from the 3 previous XSTSR races run. 13th on will start the feature straight up from heats.
3. If necessary, the consi will start straight-up from the results of the heat races and cars qualifying through the consi shall start behind all other qualified cars in the feature.
4. In order to have your handicap position in the heat races, your time must be within ½ second of the 4th fastest car based off practice times.
For time trial races:
1. The top 12 in time trials will be inverted into the heats, with the remaining positions straight up from time trials.
2. The top 12 from the heats shall be inverted in the feature based on money won (using $25,000 purse) from the 3 previous XSTSR races run. 13th on will start the feature straightup from heats.
3. If necessary, the consi will start straight-up from the results of the heat races and cars qualifying through the consi shall start behind all other qualified cars in the feature.
4.All cars entering an XSTSR competitive event must make a legitimate attempt to race the car for the entire event to receive prize money and receive handicapping benefits.
5. Cars considered extremely slow, erratic, ill handling or having new, inexperienced drivers may be requested by XSTSR officials to relinquish their assigned starting spot in the heats or feature and start in the rear of the field. XSTSR officials may also request that the car come off the racetrack after completing one green flag lap.

2. No more than 24 cars will start the feature. Additional entries will start heads up based on times. If more than 24 cars are entered, a B-Main will be run. The B-Main will be 15-20 laps, depending on car count.
3. Cautions will count in this series.
Dave Soja and Perry Vance will be your admins.
